Required" just showed up on my dash. Is this a serious problem, I have a 2001 volvo v70, and "Emission Service Required" just showed up on my dash. Is this a serious problem, or can this service message just be reset, and if so...how?

Probably time for a new Oxygen Sensor.

It is time to replace the EGR valve, Usualy dealers are mandated by emmission controll laws to replace the EGR valve after 100,000 Miles at no charge.
